Email info@caloflag.comWhat is CaloFlag?
CaloFlag estimates the calories and macronutrients in your meals. Photograph your plate, or describe the meal in a few words, and the app returns calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre with an estimated portion size — usually in a few seconds.
If an estimate looks off, you can fix it two ways: Adjust takes a short correction in plain words ("that was a small bowl, not a large one") and re-estimates, and Edit lets you type the numbers yourself when you know them from the packet. Meals you eat often can be saved and re-logged in one tap.
Set a goal and CaloFlag works out daily targets for calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre. Log your weight over time, and optionally connect Apple Health or Health Connect to see what you ate against what you burned.
How to log a meal
- 1Tap the + button on the Home screen.
- 2Choose Take a photo (or pick one from your library), Describe it to type the meal instead, or Saved meals to re-log a favourite.
- 3Wait a few seconds — the AI identifies the food and estimates the portion.
- 4Review the result. If the portion or the food is off, tap Adjust and describe what was wrong, or tap Edit to change the numbers yourself.
- 5The meal is saved to that day automatically.
Subscription
CaloFlag requires a subscription, monthly or yearly. There is no free tier and no trial. Tapping + without an active subscription opens the subscription screen, which shows the price for your country as set by the App Store or Google Play. You can also open it from Profile → Subscribe.
Already subscribed on another device, or reinstalled the app? Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with.
Common questions
I signed up but didn't get the confirmation email
Check your spam or promotions folder for an email from info@caloflag.com. If it isn't there, tap Resend email in the app (available two minutes after the last one). Open the email on the phone that has CaloFlag installed and tap Confirm my email: the app opens and you're signed in. If you confirmed on another device instead, just sign in to the app with your email and password.
The estimate looks wrong
Photos work best in good light with the whole plate in frame and one meal at a time. Mixed dishes and hidden ingredients (oil, dressings, sauces) are the hardest to judge from a photo. Tap Adjust and say what was wrong ("double portion", "no cheese", "that's olive oil, not butter") for a new estimate, or Edit to enter the numbers from a label.
Can I use CaloFlag without an account?
You need an account to log meals, so your history follows you across devices. You can sign up with Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or your email address.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Go to Profile and tap Manage Subscription. This opens your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings, where you can change or cancel your plan. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Does CaloFlag work with Apple Health or Health Connect?
Yes, and it is optional. Connect it from Profile → Preferences or during setup. CaloFlag reads eight things — weight, steps, active and resting energy burned, exercise minutes, resting heart rate, heart rate variability and sleep — to show your intake next to your activity. It never writes anything back, and the app works fully without it.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and everything in it — meal log, photos, health data, goals and weight entries — immediately. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first in your Apple ID or Google Play settings, because deleting the account does not cancel billing.
If you'd rather take a break, Deactivate Account on the same screen keeps your data and signs you out; sign in again to pick up where you left off. You can also email us at info@caloflag.com to request deletion.
